The Art of Gathering Blog

Come pull up a chair—Daisy F. Dronen is where gathering becomes an art. Recipes, encouragement & simplicity await.

Welcome!

What a joy to have you here! We are making space to meet and encourage each to gather with grace. Today is a marker of us bravely saying yes to investing in community and nurturing relationships with our presence.

Gathering well isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence.

Today is also the first time we meet for Morning Fika, enjoying a slow time of connection in our House Cafe. We are celebrating the launch of the Graceful Gathering Challenge alongside the blog! Although, the first email has gone out you can still join us!

Prepare your soul, mind, and table for a season of connection

Home: a journal reflection

I am so grateful for this home.

It envelopes me in hope.

I can open its doors wide and welcome in all those seeking a place be seen and loved.

I can set the table and care for souls through food.

I can show my kiddos how to make a home in real time here.

I can find forgiveness here because of who builds this home.

I can find space for life to happen here and it is so good.

I have always loved this verse: "The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed I have a beautiful inheritance." Psalm 16:6

Our home reminds me of exactly this, thank you Lord.

🏡What about you? how do you see your home? Are you struggling to find contentment with it?

Do you always think of what you dislike about it?

Is it hard for you to open the door for others?

I have been here before, you are not alone. But there is yet hope for your heart to grow in gratitude.

My deepest hope is that you will find a place at the table here in this little corner of the internet. Together we can cultivate a heart of gratitude and gather simply and with grace. I am here to help and encourage you.

At The Art of Gathering, we believe that inviting others to your table—physically, spiritually, emotionally—can be a simple, beautiful act that changes everything. Whether it's a casual meal with friends, a quiet coffee + conversation, or a full table surrounded by stories and laughter—each moment has purpose.

Here’s what gathering with purpose looks like:
* You welcome someone who might not normally fill your space.
* You slow down enough to let conversation unfold.
* You offer something from your heart—whether that’s your time, your listening, or your kindness.

Let’s make gathering simple, life-giving, and beautiful—together.

Gracefully,

Make it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
